Through the generous support of the Southern Arizona community, We Care Tucson has been able to help those in our community who are struggling to obtain much-needed medical equipment supplies or to bridge the digital divide by providing affordable computers.  In the last ten months, we have been able to lend out over 500 pieces of medical equipment through our medical equipment loan chest.  We have provided over 250 laptops/desktops through our low-cost computer referral program.  Donate this Giving Tuesday to help us continue to help mend our community.

Together we can mend our community.

How donations make, a difference is being able to help a daughter and her mother, who were desperately looking for a wheelchair.  Showing them a wheelchair that they could take, the daughter assisted her mother into the wheelchair.  As she sat in it, she was overcome by emotion, repeating how grateful she was and how life-changing the wheelchair was.  Insurance wouldn't approve a wheelchair for her, and walking was becoming extremely difficult and painful.  Making a difference for someone by giving them back their mobility with a wheelchair may not be earth-shattering, but to this mother and daughter, it was.

We hear many stories like this one that we could share with you, but as the saying goes: a picture is worth a thousand words; here are three thousand words.

GivingTuesday reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and generosity.

Our global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life.

Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.
