Building the Future Through Technology and Youth Programs. 

 

At We Care Tucson, we are committed to serving our community in ways that are responsible, sustainable, and impactful. After careful evaluation and thoughtful discussion, our Board of Directors made the difficult decision to transition away from providing medical supplies and durable medical equipment.

 

For many years, we were honored to support individuals and families with medical items. However, changes in regulations, availability of partners, and increasing demand for items we could not legally or sustainably provide made it clear that we needed to focus our efforts on where we could serve most effectively and responsibly.

Why This Change Matters

This realignment allows us to:

• Increase the number of computers refurbished and distributed

• Expand youth STEM and workforce development pathways

• Strengthen environmental sustainability efforts

• Build scalable, mission-aligned partnerships

 

We recognize that the need for medical equipment remains in our community, and we are deeply grateful to the donors, volunteers, and partners who supported that work over the years. This transition ensures that We Care Tucson continues to operate within our expertise, legal boundaries, and long-term sustainability strategy.

 

Our commitment remains strong: expanding access to technology, empowering youth through hands-on learning, and promoting environmental responsibility — building pathways to education and opportunity across Southern Arizona.
